Paul Martin’s American Bistro (Roseville) presents Breez, live this Thursday September 1st, and Saturday September 2nd.
This “tropical jazz” band plays music that is “fun, lovely and entertaining.” According to Breez, “Our music is improvisational and always unique. We enjoy the process of discovery that only improvisational music can provide. To us, the journey is the goal and we play any size venue with equal enthusiasm.” (Breezmusic.net).

Our mantra of “Eat organic, believe in sustainable, buy local, love fresh” includes Sunday Brunch. Locally-grown, seasonal fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy and wines year-round go into the dishes served at Paul Martin’s.
The Brunch menu offers many options; from fresh three egg omelets with crab, or bacon, or spinach and tomato, to tasty French Toast with cinnamon and maple-bourbon syrup. There are delicious soups and salads, delectable appetizers, and mouths watering grill items. Specialty drinks include Mimosas, Bistro Champagne Lemonade and Bloody Marys.
Both locations are open Sundays 10:00am-2:00pm for brunch.

This local Sacramento band draws upon the individual strengths of each band member to deliver a combination of Latin styles, jazz, and rock. While the musicians maintain a solid commitment to Latin rhythms, their backgrounds indicate one foot in jazz and one foot in rock and successfully merges these styles that gives the music an authentic sound. Each musician contributes strong and defined performances that resonate with unique personality. Their music is accessible melodies and pleasant harmonies, making the work catchy and memorable.

New Delectable Dishes and Tempting Treats at Paul Martin’s American Bistro
When you hear “heirloom tomatoes” what comes to mind? Big, ripe red tomatoes? Funny shaped yellow tomatoes? Heirlooms are a variety of tomato that have been passed down, through several generations of families because of their cherished and unique characteristics. Talk about sustainable agriculture! Which of course is what Paul Martin’s is all about - and fresh, local ingredients.
To spotlight these beauties, we are featuring a new, local heirloom tomato bruschetta with a balsamic glaze, basil (a perfect compliment) and garlic (of course) served with toasted crostinis, add a glass of wine and you have lunch!
Something else new on the menu is our Mesquite Grilled California Yellowtail with summer squash and roasted pineapple salsa. Yellowtail is caught wild off the California coast, has pale pink flesh with firm large flakes and a sweet flavor. The fresh summer squash and roasted pineapple salsa complements the dish perfectly.
For the ‘tempting treats’ we have a new, seasonal raspberry ice cream (talk about fresh, peak of the season) with shortbread cookies, or our sinful Devil’s Chocolate Food Cake, three layers with rich ganache made from Cordillera chocolate, garnished with sour cherries and whipped cream!

The Rhythm Vandals return to Paul Martin’s American Bistro, Thursday August 19th, and Saturday August 21st, for some classic rock and smooth jazz!
Voted Sacramento’s “Best Working Band,” The Rhythm Vandals have been entertaining fans for over ten years. Their “Tribute To Santana” show is a powerful high energy concert featuring Santana’s Greatest hits. The Rhythm Vandals create a real connection with their audiences delivering a passionate and energetic show that recreates the sound and the spirit of Santana. The party starts when they hit the stage!

On Saturday, August 7th I hosted a surprise 70th birthday party for my Great Aunt. I wanted to express how wonderful and smoothly things went that day…from the 
hostess….to our waiter…to all the additional staff that pitched in to make sure everything went just as planned! We couldn’t have asked for a better day…thank you for making the event a memorable day for my Great Aunt…in all her 70 years she has never had a surprise party! She’s the kind of woman that goes out of her way to be there for everyone…tirelessly..always giving and doing so much! This was my chance to give back to her….. Please pass on my sincere thanks to your staff at Paul Martin’s, El Segundo!
